Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 761 East 233rd Street, in The Bronx’s Wakefield neighborhood. Located between Byron Avenue and Barnes Avenue, the interior site is currently in use as a parking lot, and is a block and a half from the 233rd Street station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Jay Martino of the Stagg Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The steel structure will yield 78,615 square feet, with 72,963 square feet dedicated to residential space. 102 units will be created, averaging 715 square feet apiece in the 67-foot tall building. Amenities proposed for the rental development include a storage room, a laundry room, and a 52-car parking garage. As regulated under the city’s Quality Housing Program, there will also be a recreation area on the ground floor.

Mohammad Badaly of Badaly Architect PLLC is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed for the parking lot. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
