Permits have been filed for a seven-story apartment building at 935 East 179th Street in West Farms, The Bronx. Located between Vyse Avenue and Daly Avenue, the vacant lot is five blocks northwest of the West Farms Square – East Tremont Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Boutique real estate group Leviathan Capital is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot tall project will yield 31,199 square feet, with 25,010 square feet designated for residential space. It will have 37 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 675 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have six off-street parking spaces and a rear yard 33 feet long.
Yevgeniy Mekhtiyev of IMC Architecture DPC is responsible for the design.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
