Permits have been filed for a four-story apartment building at 1376 Dekalb Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located between Central Avenue and Wilson Avenue, the interior lot is near the Central Avenue subway station, serviced by the M train. Tianyang Chen is listed as the owner behind the applications, under the Dekalb Innovation Realty LLC.

The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 6,749 square feet, with 5,428 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 678 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and 46-foot-long rear yard.

Dezhang Fang of NYeast Associates is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in mid-March of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. This is just sad. Some tan brick Fedders monstrosity with exposed gas meters and sidewalk parking is going to replace this cute little house.

    • What a shame to lose an old well-kept house. According to city records it was built in 1901 but could be older.

  2. Yes definitely a treasure. Such a beautiful house. Would be nice if it could be moved to another location.

    Hello where can I apply.

  4. There is so much activity happening in Bushwick these days, it really feels like the new Williamsburg. Though at least they are keeping for the most part the nice residential areas to be found between Kosciusko and Halsey stops (lots of nice townhouses on tree-alley streets). Williamsburg has too many high-rise condo towers at this point. As for this house, it’s kind of charming but let’s be honest, this is not a landmark and I’m sure that the new residential building will actually look better than this house. Bushwick Av has lots of gorgeous detached houses that are way more inspiring than this house. Sorry.

Sorry you feel that way about my little house but in reality when we sell if we do it will be worth it with all the renovations that are being made in bushwick

  5. That house is not the lot being demolished….it’s the faux-stone square next door.

  6. I am the owner of the little white and green house that’s NOT being demolished. That would be the neighboring lot just left of my house. There are very, very few sloped-roof, one family homes left in Bushwick and if I can help it, there will always be at least one.
