Permits have been filed for an 11-story apartment building at 880 East 147th Street in Mott Haven, The Bronx. Located between Timpson Place and Austin Place, the interior lot is two city blocks south of the East 149th Street subway station, serviced by the 6 train. Martin Dunn of Dunn Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 116-foot-tall development will yield 76,714 square feet, with 57,354 square feet designated for residential space. It will have 80 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 716 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and rooftop.
Saky Yakas of SLCE Architects is responsible for the design.
Demolition permits were filed in January 2019. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Please pardon me for using your space: For example. From your report. (Hello YIMBY)
Hallelujah. A market-rate development in The Bronx. More please! This borough is the spectacular future .
if this is a market rate building, it is really big news. Nothing like it north of Bruckner Blvd in this area.
The surrounding area badly needs to become residential zoning, up and down Southern Blvd.
Southern Blvd is being rezoned all the way up to the Cross-Bronx, and thank God for that. It needs it.
Yes it Southern Blvd being renovated. Parking lots and car sales places are being emptied. Stores are closing all up and down Southern Blvd.
I’m visiting this page in 2020. Anyone have any updates on this construction? I couldn’t find any info on Dunn Development Corp website.
