Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 1745 West Farms Road in Fairmont, the Bronx. Located between East 173rd Street and East 174th Street, the lot is five blocks east of the 174th Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Propco Holdings is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 72-foot-tall development will yield 39,779 square feet, with 33,807 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 50 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 676 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar.
Mohammad Badaly is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in May of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

I receive it as your report about an eight-story residential building, and reach a particular state on evidence. And reach the point at which you feel, you know it got me to comment with its project. (Hello YIMBY)
Yes Badaly keeps getting projects. Something to do with the former Bronx president being on their board.
Why Badaly keeps getting commissions is beyond understanding.
Yes new property right at the 174th bridge staircase.
is this a picture of the 174 st bridge?
Yes.
The former Sheridan Expressway will be filled with apartment buildings.
Unfortunately the state plan does not create any new parcels because the roadway will retain the same number of lanes. But the area was rezoned some time ago and a lot of new construction has been popping up around it.
That staircase alongside the bridge is disgusting. Hopefully since they are going to build next to it. They will clean it up good.
