Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 1001 Bushwick Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located on the corner of Grove Street and Bushwick Avenue, the lot is near the Knickerbocker Avenue/Myrtle Avenue subway station, serviced by the M train and the Kosciuszko Street station, serviced by the J train. Joel Berkowitz under the 1001 Bushwick LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 60-foot-tall development will yield 21,964 square feet, with 16,653 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 24 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 693 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 12 enclosed parking spaces.

Diego Aguilera Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in September for the two-family home currently on the property. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Hello New York YIMBY: At this time, World War 3 has not happened yet. I can’t decide which side will win or lose. In battles with modern weapons and superior attack ideas, the damage is easier to see than standing in a fight on the stage. Just like the design of a building that needs to be renovated and changed to keep up with the weather, and convenience according to the amount paid. Thanks to a reporter.

  2. Oh no. Another of the “Beer Barons” mansions raised.

  3. That’s razed, not raised. Unless you were making a pun…

  4. This is so outrageous and sad, how on earth could the city allow this to happen?? What’s happening with BD34 and what is CB04 doing??

  5. Bushwick ave had such beautiful homes. Don’t knock them down. Read a Tree Grows In Brooklyn, she mentions the mansions on Bushwick ave.
