Permits have been filed for a five-story hotel at 135-02 Liberty Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. Located at the corner of 135th Street and Liberty Avenue in the South Richmond Hill neighborhood, the lot is closest to the Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue-JFK subway station, serviced by the E, J, and Z trains. Peter Persaud of P.O.P. Realty Corp is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 15,259 square feet, with 15,016 square feet designated for residential space and 243 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 42 residences, with an average unit scope of 357 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Southern Consulting Engineering is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed as of yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
