Permits have been filed for a 13-story mixed-use building at 142 South Portland Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Located between Hanson Place and Academy Park Place, the lot is two blocks west of the LIRR Atlantic Terminal and Atlantic Avenue-Barclay Center subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, and R trains. Michael T. Rooney under the South Portland LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 129-foot-tall development will yield 105,749 square feet, with 76,297 square feet designated for residential space and 9,891 square feet for community facility space. John Coogan of OCV Architects is listed as the architect of record.
