Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 43-18 214th Place in Bayside, Queens. Located between 43rd Avenue and Northern Boulevard, the interior lot is a short walk to the Bayside train station for the LIRR, on the Port Washington line. Andy Bassaly under the 214 Place LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 50-foot-tall development will yield 7,133 square feet, with 5,690 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 711 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

Wu Chen of Infocus is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. I’d love to wrap on your report, about the name alive with the development: Hello New York YIMBY.

  2. I hate when those hold-out houses finally sell off. It’s just going to be more cheaply made bug housing for bug people. And another little bit of New York’s soul shrivels up and dies.
