Renderings from Marin Architects’ design studio reveal a new seven-story rental development in the Morris Heights section of the West Bronx. Located at 1641 Undercliff Avenue, the development sits between West 175th and West 176th Streets, just a couple blocks west of a public esplanade along the Harlem River.
When complete, the 68-foot-tall structure will eventually comprise 62,185 square feet. The façade of the building resembles many of the new properties in progress in the West Bronx and is comprised primarily of red and gray brick. The window system includes large punched openings, dark metal framing, and what appear to be PTAC units throughout.
Within, the residential component will occupy approximately 43,688 square feet divided among 66 rental units. An underground, cellar-level parking component is designed to hold 35 vehicles. For those who commute, the 4 train is located less than one mile away at the 176th Street subway station.
Beyond parking, it is not clear if any additional amenity spaces, including communal lounge areas or a roof-level recreational space, will be provided.
Stagg Group, the project’s developer, has also not revealed when 1641 Undercliff Avenue is expected to debut.
