Permits have been filed for a 20-story mixed-use building at 72 East 120th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Located at the intersection of Park Avenue and East 120th Street, the corner lot is a short walk to the 125th Street subway station, serviced by the 4, 5, and 6 trains. BFC Partners is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 216-foot-tall development will yield 251,869 square feet, with 180,699 square feet designated for residential space and 4,137 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 218 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 828 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and 110 enclosed parking spaces.
Marvel Architects is listed as the architect of record.
According to the permit filed, the site is vacant so it’s likely the parking lot on the property has since been cleared. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
