Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 1544 Brooklyn Avenue in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Farragut Road and Glenwood Road, the interior lot is a short walk to the Newkirk Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Chaim Fishman under the 1544 BRK LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 5,609 square feet, with 5,196 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 649 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard, but no accessory parking.
Asher Hershkowitz is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet for the two-story family home on the property. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
