The Hard Rock Hotel will soon debut at 159 West 48th Street in Times Square, where the structure has officially topped out. Earlier this week, members of the project team including Hard Rock International, Extell Development Company, and AECOM Tishman, celebrated the milestone at a luncheon and cake cutting ceremony to thank everyone involved.
Designed by Berg + Moss Architects, the 35-story hotel comprises 291,000 gross square feet including 446 guestrooms, two entertainment venues, flexible meeting spaces, round-the-clock dining options, a fitness center, and a rooftop lounge.
The façade of the building is primarily comprised of reflective glass with minor setbacks throughout.
“While not the typical topping out ceremony, we wanted to express our gratitude for the talent and expertise of our partners with this ceremony during these challenging times,” said Jim Allen, chairman of Hard Rock International. “We have no doubt Hard Rock Hotel New York will be a world-class destination in the heart of New York City.”
The new Hard Rock Hotel is expected to open for business in 2022.

Congratulations on using your patience in the construction: Hello New York YIMBY.
The construction crew should have raised a giant mask, instead of
