Solaia, a new 14-story condominium development, recently topped out at 8701 Churchill Road among the Palisades Cliffs of North Bergen, New Jersey. Designed by Architectura, the building will contain 70 residences and a range of amenities.
Located in what is referred to as the Hudson River Gold Coast, the tower is expected to achieve full completion in early 2021 and arrives from a trio of collaborating entities including Skyline Development Group, Vasco Ventures, and Mosaic Real Estate.
The homes at Solaia will range from 864 square feet to over 1,900 square feet. Each unit will offer custom Italian cabinetry and countertops, Wi-Fi-enabled appliances and thermostats, HUE lighting and automation systems, custom closet systems, and soaking tubs. Many of the residences will also offer private outdoor spaces.
Amenity spaces will span approximately 10,000 square feet within the development. Wellness amenities will occupy three levels of the property and include a fitness center, a spa and sauna, a Halotherapy salt lounge, a vitality tub, lockers, and dressing rooms. Additional amenities include co-working spaces, a lounge featuring a fireplace wall, billiards, catering kitchen and dining area, and a cliffside roof deck with barbecue grills, a fireplace, and dining area.
The massing of the building directly responds to the incline of the cliffside area and appears to slope upward as it cuts into land. The façade of the building is comprised primarily of brown and black masonry positioned above the white cementitious enclosure of the wellness center.
“The project has been conceptualized to create a new level of indulgence with an emphasis on a healthier, more balanced lifestyle,” said founder and CEO of Skyline Development Group Lou Mont. “The spa-like amenity package is one of a kind and a welcome retreat from the daily hustle and bustle of city living. We’re delighted to now be one step closer to realizing this vision for this iconic development.”
Anticipated pricing will range from about $750,000 to $2 million. In preparation for the launch of sales, Skyline Development Group has unveiled a teaser website where interested purchasers can add their name to a wait list.

Not just in the mind, it’s real progress into the works and clear designing: Thank you.
Rendering fails to illustrated just how congested the area that surrounds this development really is. Looks beautiful, but the landscape is not so green (or green at all). Let me know if you want any construction pics YIMBY!
Wow. Who knew 6th grade had an intro to architecture class? That’s got to be a contender for the ’20 North Bergen Jr High art class challenge for Best Use of a Non- Descript Brown Material on a Mundane Composition.
The little orange panel stuck up top really makes it scream.
This whole waterfront area is getting too congested with plenty of newly erected condominiums and its occupants, is anyone thinking about the potential gridlock traffic that is already causing problems in this area. Generating money seems to be the only thing that is in the mind of developers, public officials, and everyone else who has the opportunity to dig their greedy hands into the well.
