Construction is nearing completion on Bloom on Forty Fifth , a 92-unit residential building located at 500 West 45th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, is nearing the end of construction. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Xin Development International, the property is located between West 44th and West 45th Streets on a plot formerly occupied by a gas station. Kuafu Properties is the project manager and Leeding Builders Group is overseeing construction on the project. The property was formerly addressed as 615 Tenth Avenue.

Recent photos show the exterior substantially complete with just some finishing touches remaining on the ground floor. The sidewalk scaffolding is still standing, but should be disassembled in the coming weeks. The symmetrical rectangular design features a mix of large floor-to-ceiling glass, white stone paneling, and setbacks toward the upper levels of the superstructure that make way for wraparound residential terraces.

The ground floor is shown in renderings as being occupied by a Target. Work on the store is underway, with an opening date planned for later this year. The 29,000-square-foot Target will be New York City’s fourth establishment and is designed to have a “flexible format” due to the relatively compact dimensions of the Midtown property. Merchandise will include men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, fresh produce, grab-and-go items, home furniture, health, personal care and beauty products, portable technology accessories, and Target Mobile and Order Pickup services.

Residential amenities for 500 West 45th Street include a landscaped courtyard, a fitness center, a residential lounge, a bicycle storage room, and additional storage space. The closest subways are the A, C, and E trains at the 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal station.

Bloom on Forty Fifth is expected to be completed and open by the end of the year.

I looked at this in awe. That used to be a gas station were my brother worked as a teenager and we lived one block up right on 10th Avenue.
It brings back a lot of beautiful and happy memories.when we were growing up. I LOVE ❤️ NEW YORK CITY.

  3. For a refreshing change, the finished product actually looks like the renderings!

Yes, it & especially the “flexible format” Target are a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

But, while certainly relatively easy on the eyes, looks more like an academic building on a college campus than a residential building in Manhattan.

But hey, that’s just me! ?
