Construction has topped out at 1245 Broadway, a 23-story office building in NoMad. Designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill and developed by GDSNY and Sweden-based Klovern, the 318-foot-tall building will yield 200,000 square feet of commercial space with leasing managed by CBRE. StructureTech NY and Triton Construction are in charge of building the project, which is located at the corner of West 31st Street and Broadway.

Photographs taken in early October show the scale of the structure and its staggered setbacks, carved-out corners, and multi-story cantilevering floors. These outdoor spots will serve as landscaped terraces for future office occupants.

An American flag is planted on the western corner of the flat roof parapet, signaling the crew has reached the pinnacle.

Installation is progressing on the square floor-to-ceiling windows, which are recessed from the architectural concrete façade. The minimalist exterior features both flat finishes on the floor plates and setbacks, and vertically grooved surfaces that make up the perimeter of columns on every floor. Setbacks begin on the sixth level, then on the northern elevation at the ninth floor, followed by another on the eastern profile at the 12th story, and finally one more on the 19th floor.

The nearest subways are the B, D, F, M, N, Q, R, and W trains at the 34th Street-Herald Square station one block away to the north, and the 33rd Street PATH station. Penn Station is also nearby at Seventh Avenue and 34th Street with access to the 1, 2, 3, A, C, and E trains and New Jersey Transit, Amtrak, and Long Island Railroad.

YIMBY last reported that work is expected to be completed around the end of 2020.
