Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 2180 Arthur Avenue in Belmont, The Bronx. Located at the intersection of Arthur Avenue and East 182nd Street, the lot is one block north of the 182nd-183rd Streets subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Franco Sukaj is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 34,156 square feet, with 29,183 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 46 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 634 square feet. The steel-based structure will have a cellar but no accessory parking.

Badaly Architecture is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in 2017. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. More Badaly crap. Who hires these hacks?

  2. Actually the Metro-North station is closer than the subway. the D station is a 10min walk westbound up a steep hill. Metro-North is a 8min walk northbound to Fordham Road and is a quicker option into Manhattan

  3. That’s a very visible corner. Hope the design is OK.

  4. Why is it that every empty area in the Bronx is being occupied by buildings. It seems like everyone is coming here and it’s overpopulated at this point.
