The affordable housing lottery is open for 605 Hart Street, an eight-story mixed-use development in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by Rise Architecture, the 56,416-square-foot building will yield 54 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 17 units for residents at 80 to 130 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $46,149 to $159,640.

Residential amenities include bike storage lockers, a shared laundry room, a gym, a community center, media room, rooftop terrace, a recreation room, recycling center, virtual doorman, and security cameras. Units will have washers and dryers, energy-efficient appliances, and air conditioning. 605 Hart Street will also have 22 enclosed parking spaces.

At 80 percent of the AMI, there are eight one-bedrooms with a $1,346 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $46,149 to $81,920 and two two-bedrooms with a $1,629 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $55,852 to $98,240.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three two-bedrooms with a $2,150 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $73,715 to $159,640 and four two-bedrooms with a $2,250 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $77,143 to $159,640.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than February 12, 2021.

    I am disabled and have been signing up for these housing lotteries and nothing has happened. There should be a certain amount of apts for individuals who are disabled who don’t meet the income requirements. So stop calling it affordable housing.
