In an exclusive reveal, a new rendering from Marin Architects illustrates a 12-story rental building in the Highbridge section of The Bronx. Located at 1245 Edward L. Grant Highway, construction is expected to break ground this summer.
The Marin Architects design team drew inspiration from the neighborhood’s long industrial history, which is said to be most evidenced in the façade of the structure. The brick exterior transitions from brown to red with a pair of vertical black brick bands in between. The masonry elements support a staggered, punched window system and what appears to be PTAC units.
Within, the building will comprise 85,335 square feet of residential area with a mix of 77 one-bedrooms and 44 studios. Amenity spaces will include a spacious recreational area, shared laundry facilities, a package room in the lobby, and a ground-floor bike room.
Stagg Group, the developer responsible for the project, is expected to wrap construction by early 2023.
