Jersey City will soon be home to the next Albion Hotel, a hotel chain with multiple properties in the North Jersey area. Located at 201 Newark Avenue, this latest venture will introduce around 100 guest rooms and Felina, a restaurant concept led by award-winning chef Anthony Bucco.

Developer and hotelier Frank Cretella, principal of The Landmark Companies, is responsible for the project.

The full scope of the development includes a gut renovation of an imposing two-story bank building, an infill of its former parking lot, and a vertical expansion to maximize available floor space.

The existing façade will remain mostly unchanged, spare a new coat of beige paint. The vertical addition and the new restaurant will be enclosed in a sleek glass façade with dark gray cladding.

The renderings also tease at roof-level amenities, which will include a pool, a fitness center, and open-air lounge space.

Pending approvals, Cretella is confident the hotel will open to the public by spring 2023.
