It’s an attractive building, if a little bit busy. NYC desperately needs “affordable” housing but I’m not sure someone making over $66k means these units are affordable. Local building policies need to be looked at again.
Very wealthy Switzerland manages to have surprisingly affordable housing for everyone.

  2. Switzerland has much higher housing prices than the U.S. and much lower housing affordability, as incomes are lower. And 66k income is hardly high income in the U.S. in the context of 2021. These aren’t low income units, they’re non-market units, intended for the middle class. If you only built new construction units for the ultra-poor, you’d produce fewer units and would have to raise taxes even higher to cover the difference.

  4. Hope it turns out as nice as the proposal

  5. Bedford Ave & Tilden Avenue is a neighborhood no sensible middle-class person will choose to live in.

  6. A 1BDR at $1,950 is NOT affordable for most NYers. Especially, when you can get one for $1,500-$1,600 and at times even less.

  7. I’m looking for a one bedroom apartment n I’m disable
