The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1098 Madison Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The four-story residential building is designed by L&C Associates and yields eight units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are two units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $66,000 to $139,620.

Units will have air conditioning, dishwashers, energy-efficient appliances, hardwood floors, and either a balcony or patio.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are two one-bedrooms with a $1,925 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $66,000 to $139,620.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than July 19, 2021.

  1. If these are subsidized and many apartments in that neighborhood are cheaper then why aren’t they cheaper.
    Many apartments get 2 months free rent . Fake subsidy ?
    What are size of these one bedrooms?
