The affordable housing lottery has launched for 2265 Hughes Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Belmont, The Bronx. Designed by John Saracco Architects, the structure yields 22,182 square feet and 16 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $75,429 to $167,570.
Amenities including solar panel energy, a shared laundry room, elevator, recycling center, bike storage lockers, and assigned parking. Units come equipped with air conditioning, custom closets, a modern kitchen with energy-efficient appliances, marble countertops and a breakfast bar, a porcelain-tiled bathroom, hardwood and ceramic tiles throughout, and custom moldings.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,200 for incomes ranging from $75,429 to $167,570. Tenants are only responsible for electricity and gas for the stovetop.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than August 23, 2021.
