The affordable housing lottery has launched for Rose Castle, a nine-story mixed-use building at 33 Little Nassau Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Archimaera Architecture and developed by Riverside Developers, the structure yields 86 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 59 units for residents at 70 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $50,709 to $167,570.

Amenities include pet-friendly policies, bike storage lockers, garage with electric car charging stations, shared laundry room, recycling center, elevator, and gym. Units come with energy-efficient appliances, air conditioning, fireplace, charging outlets with USB ports, smart controls for heating/cooling, and name-brand appliances and finishes.

At 70 percent of the AMI, there are five one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,382 for incomes ranging from $50,709 to $75,180 and eight two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,648 for incomes ranging from $60,652 to $90,230.

At 90 percent of the AMI, there are right one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,809 for incomes ranging from $65,349 to $96,660 and six two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,160 for incomes ranging from $78,206 to $116,010.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are seven one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,280 for incomes ranging from $78,172 to $139,620 and 25 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,520 for incomes ranging from $86,400 to $167,570.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than February 17, 2022.

    Beautiful complex. But for low income I would still not be qualified because my income doesn’t meet qualification.

  5. this isn’t affordable housing but INCOME BASED housing. The most available are 25 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,520 for incomes ranging from $86,400 to $167,570.This isn’t for poor people but upper middle class and upper class.
