Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 64 Meserole Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Lorimer Street and Leonard Street, the lot is near the Broadway subway station, served by the G train and the Lorimer Street station, served by the J and M trains. Moshe Schwimmer of Meserole Lorimer Realty LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 99-foot-tall development will yield 88,665 square feet, with 69,993 square feet designated for residential space, 16,050 square feet for community facility space, and 2,622 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 99 residences with a total 118 residences on site, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 593 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 42-foot-long rear yard, and ten enclosed parking spaces.
Shmuel Wieder of S. Wieder Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed last month for the five-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

C’mon, please a little more background info than ‘demolition permits filed for the five story structure on site”..what is that thing,it looks like a nightmare from some Sci-Fi horror film..
It’s a Brutalist Verizon building. Some other “telephone” buildings are more pleasing, such as “Titan Pointe” on Walker St. and an ATT building on Queens Blvd. in Rego Park.
