Permits have been filed for a conversion of an existing two-story building into a seven-story residential development at 857 Lexington Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Patchen Avenue and Broadway, the interior lot is three blocks south of the Kosciuszko Street subway station, serviced by the J train. Abraham Gelbstein is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 69-foot-tall development will yield 15,075 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 22 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 685 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 34-foot-long rear yard and 11 open parking spaces.
Engineering Consulting Services is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed since permits call for a conversion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
