Permits have been filed for a 12-story mixed-use building at 270 Nostrand Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Nostrand Avenue and Kosciuszko Street, the corner lot is one block north of the Bedford-Nostrand Avenues subway station, serviced by the G train. Jack Gold under the NNRC Properties LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 125-foot-tall development will yield 331,636 square feet, with 326,295 square feet designated for residential space and 5,341 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 226 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 1,443 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 214 enclosed parking spaces.
GF55 Partners is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

1,443 is pretty big for rentals. As usual, don’t trust the formulaic YIMBY/ Google Street View write-up, wait for official confirmation. Otherwise this is great news. This has been an empty lot for a few years and 12 floors is huge for the neighborhood. Great density.
It was only empty because they tore down the nursing home where people lived.
Without seeing the prices, it’s hard to say it’s great for anyone other than developers.
