Permits have been filed for a 17-story mixed-use building at 8 Stuyvesant Place in St. George, Staten Island. Located between Slosson Terrace and Hyatt Street, the lot is within walking distance of the St. George subway station and St. George ferry terminal. Madison Realty Capital is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 166-foot-tall development will yield 255,407 square feet, with 247,903 square feet designated for residential space and 7,504 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 295 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 840 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and 149 enclosed parking spaces.
FXCollaborative is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Incomprehensible why St.George doesn’t have highrises going up left and right like Jersey City.
There’s no “subway” on Staten Island, so how can this be close to it?
They’re clearly referring to the Staten Island Railway which for all intents and purposes is the subway.
Great location for a mixed used building! I expect the building to reach full capacity as soon as the website goes up.
