The affordable housing lottery has launched for Harborview Senior Apartments, a three-story residential building at 80 Scarboro Avenue in Shore Acres, Staten Island. Designed by Stanley M. Krebushevski, the structure yields 72 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 31 units for residents at 80 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $56,538 to $218,010.
Amenities include parking, a lounge, bike storage lockers, recycling center, package lockers, elevator, and a virtual doorman. Units come equipped with air conditioning, intercoms, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity, which includes hot water, and gas for heat and stove.
At 80 percent of the AMI, there are 15 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,221 for incomes ranging from $76,149 to $139,620, and 13 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,765 for incomes ranging from $56,538 to $111,840.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,200 for incomes ranging from $109,715 to $218,010.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than September 16, 2024.
