Permits have been filed for an 11-story residential building with affordable housing for seniors at 57 Marcus Garvey Boulevard in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Park and Myrtle Avenues, the lot is two blocks from the Myrtle Avenue subway station, serviced by the J, M, and Z trains. NYC Housing Authority and NYC Health + Hospitals is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 117-foot-tall development will yield 598,241 square feet, with 577,632 square feet designated for residential space and 20,609 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 190 residences. The concrete-based structure will not have any accessory parking.
Studio Libeskind is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
