The affordable housing lottery has launched for 64 Scholes Street, an eight-story senior housing building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Arker Companies, the structure yields 65 residences and community facility space. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 44 units for residents at 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $38,263 to $57,300.
Amenities include an on-site resident manager, common area Wi-Fi, recreation and fitness center, storage area, bicycle storage, shared laundry room, and outdoor green space. Units have energy-efficient appliances, air conditioning, smart controls for heating and cooling, high speed internet, and intercoms. Tenants pay electricity.
At 60 percent of the AMI, there are 44 studios with a monthly rent of $1,041 for incomes ranging from $38,263 to $57,300.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than June 21, 2022.
