Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 2336 Valentine Avenue in Fordham, The Bronx. Located between East 183rd and East 184th Streets, the lot is near the 182-183 Streets subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Mendy Tessler is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 7,907 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 17 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 465 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a penthouse and a 45-foot-long rear yard.

  1. destroy the low rise century old house to put up a 7 story out of context piece of crap.
    Take the money and run.
    The neighbor is going to be really screwed from loss of light and a box next to the last remaining house.

    I can understand new needs at a location but the
    Bronx would do will with abandoned lots at other locations to require old houses like this be moved to a area to be infilled with other neat victorians. Some other cities do this. yep it costs more in the short run but to rebuild another street that has holes in it with restored houses pays off in the long run. developers have found this out it just takes some more guts and yes skin.
