Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 42-08 147th Street in Flushing, Queens. Located between Beech Avenue and Sanford Avenue, the lot is near the Main Street subway station, serviced by the 7 train. Wang Lam is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 67-foot-tall development will yield 14,647 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 20 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 738 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar, a 32-foot-long rear yard, and ten enclosed parking spaces.
Ling Li of Li Architect Associate, PLLC is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in July for the residential building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

This is an area that’s ripe for development because it’s close to the Murray Hill Station of the LIRR (half again closer than to the 7 train). That station (and a couple of others just East of it) is surrounded by one and two family housing that ought to be 6 story apartments and condos.
