Curtain wall installation is nearing the parapet of TSX Broadway, a 47-story hotel tower at 1568 Broadway in Times Square. Designed by Perkins Eastman and Mancini Duffy and developed by L&L Holding Company and Fortress Investment Group, the 550,000-square-foot structure will yield 661 hotel rooms, 100,000 square feet of retail space on the lower levels, and a cantilevering outdoor performance stage. The project also involved the restoration and lifting of the historic Palace Theater by PBDW Architects to make room for retail frontage. Pavarini McGovern is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 47th Street.
At the time of our last update in May, the Palace Theater had recently finished being elevated to its new position 30 feet above street level, a four-month process that involved 34 hydraulic jacks. Since then, the construction crane has come down from the northern elevation and the glass and metal paneling has enclosed more of the reinforced concrete superstructure, with only a handful of floors remaining to be clad.

Work has also progressed on the black steel framework for the LED signage surrounding the multi-story retail podium. The screen will feature a rounded edge at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 47th Street, and a tall rectangular cutout on the western side will make way for the performance stage.

The rendering in the main photo shows an additional LED screen surrounding the crown of the building. Additional signage is placed around the halfway point on the southern elevation. The shorter height of its neighbor to the south will provide guests with panoramic views of the neighborhood and clear sight lines of the annual New Years Eve ball drop atop One Times Square.
