Leasing has officially launched for 121 West 125th Street, a new mixed-use development that will house National Urban League’s new headquarters and New York City’s first civil rights museum, and 90,000 square feet of office space. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by Taconic Partners, L+M Development Partners, BRP Companies, and The Prusik Group, the block-through structure is located in the heart of Manhattan’s Harlem neighborhood. Newmark’s Chris Mongeluzo is the exclusive realtor for the office space, which includes the entire fifth and sixth floors with private outdoor space and a separate office lobby.

“We’re thrilled to deliver some of the first Class A office space in Harlem along one of the greatest commercial corridors in the city,” said Jane Luger, vice president of Taconic Partners. “As more businesses shift away from traditional office districts to areas where their employees live, this project offers companies and organizations a unique proposition comprising new, well-designed offices in the heart of Harlem, with shops, restaurants, and cultural institutions all on their doorstep. We look forward to attracting new businesses and entrepreneurs to this iconic part of New York, along with breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline, private outdoor spaces, and unparalleled mass transit access.”

The space offers 90,000 square feet of office opportunity across two floors, featuring customizable layouts, dedicated HVAC, heigh ceiling spans, and floor-to-ceiling windows, which provide unobstructed views and plenty of natural light. Office tenants will enjoy access to an expansive private 10,000-square-foot terrace with skyline views of Manhattan, as well as a private entrance, lobby, and elevators.

“The unveiling of this Class A asset by Taconic further reinforces their commitment to the Harlem community by offering a high-level experience for local workers, a totally new kind of office space in Upper Manhattan,” said Chris Mongeluzo of Newmark.

The building will be used by several non-profit office tenants including 100 Black Men, the nation’s top African American-led mentoring organization, and Jazz Mobile, whose mission is to present, preserve, promote, and propagate jazz music. It will also house a Target retail shop and the first Trader Joe’s in Upper Manhattan, adding to the 125th Street commercial corridor.

Transit on 125th Street offers includes nine nearby subway lines, Metro-North Railroad, and the planned expansion of the Second Avenue Subway. It is also less than a 10-minute drive to the George Washington Bridge to New Jersey.
