Permits have been filed to convert a two-story commercial structure into a four-story residential building at 179 North 10th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Bedford Avenue and Driggs Avenue, the interior lot is near the Bedford Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. Hilmi Aydin of KSK Construction Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 26,972 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 23 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,172 square feet. The wood-based structure will also have a 35-foot-long rear yard.

Tahir Demircioglu Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a conversion and expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
