The affordable housing lottery has relaunched for 142 Richards Street, a four-story residential building with units still available in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Designed by OCV Architects and developed by Cheever Development, the structure yields 17 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are four units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $88,972 to $198,250.
Amenities include assigned parking and outdoor space. Units come equipped with stainless steel appliances, dishwashers, and hardwood floors. Several apartments have private terraces. Tenants are responsible for gas (stove only) and electricity including electric heat.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,595 for incomes ranging from $88,972 to $165,230; and one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $3,075 for incomes ranging from $105,429 to $198,250.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than September 5, 2023.

Yes renew constructed apts have better amnesties and are located in gentrified re-constructed & improved neighborhoods that were ghettos when I was young. I always predicted that conditions would turn around and they certainly have. Most Brooklyn neighborhoods are now prime real estate and treasures. Don’t complain but celebrate victory and improvement.

How could they classified this as affordable housing, insanity……I am not surprised they not getting any tenants at those price range. How do they expect people to survive paying rent like that.
Your really needs to get the pricing lower you will get more family that rent is out rarest and you know it you know that is not affordable.
