This week crews poured the final floor on the 19-story new residential development at 159 Boerum Street in Brooklyn’s East Williamsburg neighborhood. Developed by Slate Property Group in partnership with Avenue Realty Capital and SD Builders and Construction LLC, the 216-foot-tall structure will yield 116,000 square feet and 162 units when complete with 49 apartments designated as affordable housing.
“We’re so grateful to the men and women on the job at 159 Boerum and the work they’ve done to get us to the milestone. This is our second major project in this immediate neighborhood, and we’ve striven to make sure this is a building both its residents and the community can be proud of,” said Martin Nussbaum, principal of Slate Property Group.
Designed by Aufgang Architects, the building will include a fitness center, a roof deck, a parking garage, and bike storage. Setbacks above the 12th and 16th floors will be used for large outdoor terraces.
The property is located between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street, three blocks from the L train at Montrose Avenue subway station.
Construction is expected to be completed in the summer of 2025.
