Industry City, a 35-acre mixed-use complex along the Sunset Park waterfront in Brooklyn, has announced four new lease signings. Kinolime, Dowbuilt, Prudential Insurance, and KYHA Studios will occupy a combined 15,282 square feet through Industry City’s flexible leasing policy, which allows tenants to secure additional space if needed in the future.
Kinolime has signed a 5,389-square-foot office lease in Building 2, where it will engage in its enterprise of producing and financing films and television pilots. Dowbuilt, a Seattle-based residential construction company, has secured a 3,227-square-foot lease in Building 3 for its New York office, which will serve as the hub for its East Coast operations. Prudential Insurance is opening a new insurance brokerage office with a 2,575-square-foot lease in Building 5, and Australian bridal design company KYHA Studios will occupy a 4,091-square-foot showroom and finishing space in Building 7.
The companies join Industry City’s roster of tenants that span a variety of industries, including film and media, design, homewares, and fashion. Other notable occupants include the NYU Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center, Moda Operandi, and West Elm.
“We are excited to welcome such a wide variety of new companies to Industry City,” said Jeff Fein, senior vice president of leasing at Industry City. “These deals are emblematic of our flexible leasing strategy, which allows tenants across all sectors to take on the square footage they need and expand their footprints as they grow. These four companies will undoubtedly contribute to the dynamic atmosphere of the complex.”
