Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 132 West 134th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Located between Malcolm X Boulevard and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, the lot is near the 135th Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains. Wen Zhu is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 68-foot-tall development will yield 10,854 square feet, with 10,216 square feet designated for residential space and 638 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 15 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 681 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 56-foot-long rear yard.
Chang Hwa Tan of Tan Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
