The affordable housing lottery has launched for 2-24 26th Avenue, a six-story residential building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by FNA Engineering and developed by Yitzchok Katz of Developing NY State, the structure yields 137 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 42 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $105,223 to $198,250.
Amenities include pet-friendly policies, a garage with assigned parking spaces, a shared laundry room, common area Wi-Fi, gym, yoga and dance studio, elevator, and an on-site resident manager. Residences come equipped with hardwood floors, intercoms, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity, which includes stove, heat, and hot water.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three studios with a monthly rent of $3,069 for incomes ranging from $105,223 to $146,900; 29 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,200 for incomes ranging from $109,715 to $165,230; and ten two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,835 for incomes ranging from $131,486 to $198,250.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than May 27, 2024.
