The affordable housing lottery has launched for 649 Hart Street, five-story mixed-use building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by S. Wieder Architect and developed by LW Developers, the structure yields 42 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 12 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $105,223 to $218,010.
Amenities include a dog washing station, a garage, bike storage lockers, gym, yoga and dance studio, business center, elevator, and a rooftop terrace. Residences come with washers and dryers, air conditioning, and name-brand kitchen countertops and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $3,069 for incomes ranging from $105,223 to $161,590; one studio with a monthly rent of $3,105 for incomes ranging from $106,458 to $161,590; six one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,317 for incomes ranging from $113,726 to $181,740; and four two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,963 for incomes ranging from $135,875 to $218,010.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than June 20, 2024.
