Permits have been filed for an 11-story mixed-use building at 179 20th Street in Greenwood Heights, Brooklyn. Located between 4th and 5th Avenues, the lot is near the Prospect Avenue subway station, served by the R train. John Russo of 651 4th Avenue LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications. Previous plans by Fischer Makooi Architects called for a nine-story structure.

The proposed 121-foot-tall development will yield 33,420 square feet, with 29,487 square feet designated for residential space, 3,144 square feet for commercial space, and 789 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 26 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,134 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar.

INOA Architecture is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Pretty sure this is almost complete?

  2. YIMBY just did two updates of the essentially completed project just this September. Apparantly they didn’t notice it’s the same project with a Fourth Av address.
