Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a six-story mixed-use building at 925 60th Street in Borough Park, Brooklyn. Located between 9th Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway, the lot is near the Fort Hamilton subway station, served by the N train. Hanjun Bai of H&Z Building NY Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 7,500 square feet, with 5,999 square feet designated for residential space and 1,500 square feet for commercial space. The building will have nine residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 667 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 32-foot-long rear yard.

Fran Huang of HPL Engineering is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
