A new proposal has been submitted to the LPC for 75 Varick Street, in Hudson Square. Trinity Real Estate’s One Hudson Square is set to receive a rooftop renovation, and the top of the 17-story building is slated to be converted to an outdoor recreational space.
The mixed-use commercial and retail space was heavily renovated in 2001 from what was light industrial space to offices and retail space. The upgrade of the structure brought with it a modern HVAC system, sound-deadening windows, a marble lobby, as well as an air scrubber to clean exhaust gases from the heavy traffic area where it resides, by the Holland Tunnel. Tenants also have access to 24 hour security and on-site management.
