Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 258 Saint James Place in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The site is three blocks away from the Clinton-Washington Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the A and C trains. Twelve blocks away is Barclays Center and the expansive Atlantic Terminal Mall. The Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center subway station connects with the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N. Q, R and W trains. Springfield Gardens Homes Inc. is behind the project.
The 80-foot tall structure will yield 10,530 square feet, with 8,820 square feet dedicated to residential use. Seven apartments will be created, averaging 1,260 square feet apiece, indicating condominiums. Two units will occupy the ground floor, with full-floor residences populating the rest of the building. There does not appear to be any space dedicated to amenities or bicycle storage.
M.S. Savani Architecture PC will be responsible for the design.
Demolition of the prior building occurred in 2003, and the site has been vacant ever since. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
