Permits have been filed for a nine-story residential building at 11 West 118th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. The site is four blocks away from the 116th Street subway station on Malcolm X Boulevard, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains. Victory One Housing For The Elderly is behind the applications.
The 87-foot tall structure will yield 150,540 square feet within, with 82,110 square feet dedicated for residential use. 136 apartments will be created for the elderly, averaging 604 square feet apiece, suggesting one-bedroom units.
Tenants will have access to 2,920 square feet of recreational space within the cellar, and 420 square feet of recreational space on the ground floor. A laundry room will be available, and bicycle storage will also be included.
Aufgang Architects will be responsible for the design.
The lot is currently vacant, meaning construction can begin quickly. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
