KRE Group, developers of Jersey City’s Journal Squared towers, have now launched rental leasing for 485 Marin in the city’s historic Hamilton Park District. The development will yield the tallest buildings in Hamilton Park, which is more commonly known for its Victorian homes, brownstones, and tree-lined streets.
To compliment the traditional aesthetic of the neighborhood, architect Hollwich Kushner designed the 18-story structure with a red-brick facade as opposed to a reflective glass enclosure. The building’s silhouette resembles a stepped corridor with a landscaped, open-air amenity deck between two wings. The amenity deck includes a swimming pool, summer kitchens, outdoor showers, and plenty of area for sunbathers.

Rounding out the project team is interior designer Christopher Stevens and architect of record Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects.
The Marketing Directors is the exclusive leasing and marketing agent for 485 Marin where pricing begin sat $2,300 for studio units ranging upwards of $5,700 for a three-bedroom unit. The residences feature open floor plans, rustic oak-style wood flooring, and large windows that overlook the surrounding neighborhood, Jersey City, and Manhattan skylines at a distance.

KRE Group is also developing a new public park to accompany 485 Marin that will span over an acre and will include a dog-park, cafe-style seating, and a children’s play areas.
