Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 811 East 181st Street in Belmont, The Bronx. The site is nine blocks away from the West Farms Square subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Just five blocks away is the famed Bronx Zoo. Neighborhood Restore HDFC is listed as responsible for the development.
The 61-foot tall structure will yield 33,300 square feet, with 24,210 square feet dedicated to residential use. 30 apartments will be created, averaging just over 800 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. Residents will have parking for 15 bikes, a lobby, and ground floor recreation space.
Curtis + Ginsberg Architects are responsible for the design.
The lot is currently vacant, meaning construction can start as soon as permits are approved. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
