64 East 1st Street [Real Estate Weekly]: Last week, an on-site drawing was posted for MGM Property Group’s 64 East 1st Street, a six-story project in the East Village. Now, renderings have surfaced of GF55 Partners Architects’ design for the building, and “excavation work has just begun.”
314 Grand Street [The Real Deal]: Malachite Group has acquired the four-story, 35,000 square-foot commercial building at 314-320 Grand Street, on the Lower East Side, for $25.6 million. The broker in the deal stated “the building was ripe for residential conversion.”
170 Buffalo Avenue [Brownstoner]: Centers Health Care has proposed converting the eight-story, 170,000 square-foot St. Mary’s Hospital — located at 170-180 Buffalo Avenue, in eastern Crown Heights — into “a 280-bed” nursing home. The owners have already filed ULURP and variance applications with the city.
51 White Street [Crain’s Business]: Cushman & Wakefield is marketing the five-story, 16,908 square-foot building at 51 White Street, in Tribeca, “for nearly $24 million.” The property is being marketed with the potential for residential conversion, and includes 6,365 square feet of unused development rights.
190 Bowery [Daily News]: Developer Aby Rosen has acquired the six-story, 35,617 square-foot building at 190 Bowery, in NoLita, paying $55 million. The building is likely to be converted into condos, but a mix of uses are possible.
511 West 18th Street [New York Post]: Related Companies “has hired Rem Koolhaas to design” their planned 250-foot-tall development project at 511-525 West 18th Street, in West Chelsea. The design, details, and a completion date have yet to be revealed.
